  • Harry Potter 5 deleted scenes on DVD

Thanks to everyone who let us know that the British Board of Film Classification has revealed the names and lengths of the deleted scenes that will be included on the Order of the Phoenix DVD. They are as follows:
    00:02:31:17 ("TRELAWNY EATING")
00:00:13:08 ("NEVILLE SPEAKS UP FOR HARRY")
    00:00:26:02 ("STEADY CAM AROUND")
    00:02:46:18 ("UMBRIDGE QUESTIONS TRELAWNY")
00:00:17:21 ("MALFOY, CRABBE, AND GOYLE BULLY A STUDENT")
00:00:21:06 ("FILCH BLOWS ON UMBRIDGE'S HAIR")
00:01:47:14 ("HARRY, HERMIONE, AND UMBRIDGE - EXTENDED")
    00:00:37:22 ("HARRY ENTERS")
    00:01:07:23 ("HARRY AND RON PACKING")
In total, the scenes last 10 minutes and 10 seconds. The release date of the DVD has yet to be announced, but will almost certainly be before Christmas. The US release will be the same and released before Christmas as well.

I guess this puts to rest the rumors that in each Harry Potter movie, so far, none of the stuff in books that was left out of the movies were secretly filmed and would be put in on the DVD's like the "extended versions of LOTR". I think some of these titles for deleted scenes sound pretty stupid. It certainly is not going to be any reason to buy the DVD except for the movie itself which of course is a must have anyway.

Since the movies change a lot of the plot lines, it would be hard to film the book AND the movie.
Maybe an animated serial version of the books will be made: 24 half-hour episodes per year/book. Not sure if even that is enough.

Definitely The Order of the Phoenix is dissapointing in everyway, as someone already said:: why to leave out this few scenes??
It doesnt make any difference, it doesnt help at all the movie.

Previous movies deleted scenes were so much usefull and interesting, so much better than this one.
              00:02:31:17 ("TRELAWNY EATING")
Oh Gosh!! it reminds me Denethor eating like a pig in LOTR 3 XDDDD
I hope this one to be someting different XDDD I find pointless to show Trelawney eating XD instead of adding Trelawney saying the Prophecy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know since now HP movies will focus only in Harry.

Re: Harry Potter 5 deleted scenes on DVD

UDATE: DVD Times as given December 11th as the release date for Order of the Phoenix. Plus a super deluxe boxed set of all five movies with all kinds of stuff in addition to the discs. There is one bonus disc with nothing but special Harry Potter stuff and cards and illustrated stuff. I don't know if the movies are extended versions or just the same as have been released all along. It's listed at $119.95 and that is a bit steep when you figure they have already been released and you are paying that much for the extra stuff, plus you know that all 7 will be release when all is said and done in a super deluxe package, hopefully giving us the extended versions at that time. I can wait, as I already have them individually.

That does seem kind of weird to release a box set of the first 5 when there are still 2 more to go.

Well, they did do the same thing for the books...
