2017 is a year of renewal for us, we have lots of exciting changes on the way for you, but we don't have time to deal with trolls and spammers. MiceChat offers a number of ways for you to communicate and get involved. We offer Facebook Groups and Pages, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest accounts. We have a front page filled with amazing content. We offer weekly meetups in the parks. Meets and events all over the world. Podcasts and videos. And we continue to maintain forums for your posting convenience. But with all those options, we can't be everywhere all the time. We need YOUR help. Please don't poke the trolls. Report posts and leave reputation. We'll do our best to keep the forums clean and active, but we can't do so without your help.

    Hersheypark in Hershey, PA announces their new coaster for the 2008 season.

    Fahrenheit, their 11th coaster will open at Hersheypark in May of 2008. Located adjacent to The Boardwalk this new Vertical Lift inverted loop coaster will assend 121 feet before plummeting down a 97 degree vertical drop - the deepest in the US.

    Design features:
    • Ride Supplier - Intaride LLC, USA
    • Model - Vertical Lift inverted coaster
    • Structure - Steel Track
    • Elements (as they occur)
      • 90 degree ascent (121 feet)
      • 97 degree negative drop (the DEEPEST in the US)
      • Inverted loop (107 feet)
      • Inverted Corkscrew roll, Cobra element, Airborne Inverted S Roll, Inverted Corkscrew roll, Airtime Hill, High Speed/Banked Curve, Airtime Hill, High Speed/Banked Curve.
    • Maximum speed - 58mph
    • Track Length - 2,700 feet
    • Restraint System - Over the Shoulder Restraint, Padded head restraint, interlocking safety belts
    • Color Scheme - Cobalt Blue columns and orange track, Silver Trains, Cobalt Blue Seats with Orange harnesses
    Capacity and Ride Time:
    • Number of trains - 3 (featuring stadium seating)
    • Capacity per train - 12 riders
    • Approx ride time - 85 seconds
    • Theoretical Capacity - 850 riders per hour

    I'm still in shock that they released the information a week before it was scheduled to be announced!
    It's actually "Cars Land", not "Carsland".

      Oh so that's where the money went for all the jobs lost in Oakdale. Glad Hershey PA is doing well.
      1st Amendment-Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

          ^ Most Coasters at non-disney parks have about the same capacity. If your looking at Six Flags or Knott's, even though their coasters may have a 'capacity' of 1000 per hour, they VERY rarely hit those numbers.

          Hersheypark operations are very good and they should do okay with wait times.
