Well, the Year of a Million MORE Dreams rules and regulations have been announced this morning.

But we do know that there will be a "High School Musical 3" (premiering in the Fall of 2008) and that the Disney Gallery above the POTC in DL will become a "Disneyland Dream Suite".

Pretty much the same stuff. A new PO Box is going to be used of the 2008 contest, but the mail in entries don't start until mid-December. And yes, I will post the step by step directions this week.

The Special Park Dream Time sounds a bit odd. An extra hour in the park after closing for "select" attractions.

Some lines will still be going strong then (Nemo) so it doesn't seem like the best of prizes compared to the Dream Fastpass.

Some that jumped out at me:

Twelve Hundred (1,200) Ultimate Character Meet & Greet prizes available: Each prize consists of: on the day prize is awarded, attendance by winners at a special appearance by over fifteen (15) Disney Characters. Prize also includes a Disney Character autograph book for each winner. ARV of each prize: US$22.

One Thousand Two Hundred (1200) Special Dessert Buffet Event in Park prizes available: Each prize consists of: on the day prize is awarded, attendance by winners at a Special Dessert Buffet event in Park, during which character entertainment and dessert items will be available for winners to enjoy. ARV of each prize: US$24.

and this one sounds really fun - if you brought the right clothes for it! I know for me, my travel clothes are comfy and casual, so this would be FUN, but could be so much better:

Twelve (12) Disney's PhotoPass Dream Memory Makers at Resort prizes available: Each prize consists of Photography session with a Disney's PhotoPass Photographer on the day prize is awarded. The session will take place at Park or Park and can last up to four (4) hours. The location and number of photos taken during the photo session will be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. The Prize also includes: up to one (1) hour of consultation with a Disney's PhotoPass team member via telephone and/or e-mail to help prepare, create, and deliver one (1) Disney's PhotoCD, two (2) Disney's PhotoBooks, four (4) 5 x 7 inch Disney's PhotoPrints and one (1) set of twenty (20) Disney's PhotoCards within 30 days of the prize being awarded. ARV of each prize: US$300.

Should be interesting if they don't make the projected growth for this new year. Disneyland was flat the first year and WDW was only up 4% Of course it might help if they kept prices the same but of course they raised prices quickly. That along with changes to the dining plan for the worse will mess things up for sure.

Anyone notice how there is now no size limitation to the postcards.... and you can send in "a piece of paper?" Does this mean you can send an entry in an envelope? Weren't they very strict in the 2007 edition of the rules?

On a side note/question...I started mailing in 2 entries per day (one for me, one for my mom) in late August. When do prizes normally arrive?

As for the mail-in entry, yes, the rules have change and will be more liberal... More to come on that, it doesn't start until mid-December (the 19th to be precise).

As for what is CURRENTLY happening, the original "15 months of 1.25 million prizes" is still going on, so keep mailing in those postcards...

On December 19th, folks should send in 2 different postcards for a couple of weeks until 1/1/08, when you go back to 1 postcard per day per person. They are different PO Box numbers, so be careful.

And the Dream Patrol is still out and about in the US parks and the 2 DtD areas looking for winners. There are still 2007 prizes to be handed out!

Okay, I just read all the rules, and I'm really happy about the size restriction being lifted - but I didn't see how many you could send in a day - Darkbeer, is that 2 postcards per person or per household?

From December 19th until the end of the year (about 2 weeks) you can send TWO different Postcards, one to the old box "8639" and then one to the NEW box "8650". Starting 1/1/08, just one card (or letter) to the "8650" PO Box.

It is just the "transfer period" of the two contests.
