Says here Disneyland will be built in Krasnoyarsk, with construction beginning next year, to be completed by 2012.

    http://english.newslab.ru/news/237390

Why do I think this will be news to the Walt Disney Company? Or could this possibly be for realsies?
That was wonderful! Bravo! I loved that! Ah, that was great! Well, it was pretty good. Well, it wasn't bad. Uh, there were parts of it that weren't very good though. It could have been a lot better. I didn't really like it. It was pretty terrible. It was bad. It was awful! It was terrible! Take 'em away! Boo! Boo!

    Re: Disneyland Siberia

I think it is just another case of the Russians not having a firm understanding of Trademarks. The project description of merry go rounds and other childrens rides under one roof don't sound like a real Disneyland Park. I think they are just using the term "Disneyland" to mean amusement park:

Disneyland will be built in Krasnoyarsk by 2012. It was announced by Krasnoyarsk deputy mayor Anatoly Grigorenko at the news conference on October 30. Grigorenko said it was planned to build the children park in the area of Northern Highway, which held much promise for construction.
The investor of the project is a Moscow company, Grigorenko reported. "It will be a big children entertainment center with side-shows and merry-go-rounds under one roof," Anatoly Grigorenko noted.
Construction of Disneyland is expected to start next year and last for three years.
According to Grigorenko, apart from Disneyland, a new micro district, 1 million square meters in area, and a business block, 220,000 square meters in area, would appear around Northern Highway, opposite the Coca Cola plant.

Just another Nara Dreamland or Shijingshan. Low-budget clones by foreign nationals.
