Three New YOMD Images Released

Disney recently unveiled three images to celebrate Disney Parks Year of a Million Dreams. The images were done by photographer Annie Leibovitz. Leibovitz is a notable American photographer who has taken pictures of various famous people as John Lennon, Demi Moore, and her majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The theme for her Disney shoot is international celebrities in fairy tale settings.


Julie Andrews as the Blue Fairy in Pinocchio.


Rachel Weisz as Snow White.


Roger Federer as King Arthur.

I read that she is suppose to be Fira from the Disney Fairies collection thingy.

I love, love, love these photos! Especially the Rachel Weisz one! I adore Rachel and am so excited that she did one of these photos!!

I do have to wonder though...where is Peter Pan and Ariel? Didn't I read somewhere that those were going to be the next ones in the series?

She does. That's my favorite photo so far in all the ones they released. I've got to say that these pictures are probably the best thing that has come out of the YOAMD ad campaign.

I absolutely adore Rachel Weisz! That photo is absolutely beautiful. The other two aren't bad either. LOL!

USA Today has a pretty good article--including some video from the photo shoots--available online.

I think the King Arthur one should have been different. The sword and grey cloudy sky looks too much like the Prince Phillip one they had last time.

Rachel Weisz is a PERFECT Snow White! And Julie Andrews is a great interpretation of the Blue Fairy.
