From what I have read on the net they have been retooling it since Lasseter said it was unwatchable. Hopefully it will be watchable when it is released next year. it was supposed to have been released this year.

It's only coming to Blu-Ray? Or will that just be one of the formats?

    Tinkerbell is arriving after all

The changes in Disney's animation company brought many changes including a return to 2d animation and the end of direct to video sequels. One of the first projects dropped was the Peter Pan spinoff film Tinkerbell which Disney's new CCO John Lasseter publically declared unwatchable. It's all the more surprising then, that Tinkerbell will be coming to Blu-ray after all; in 2008.
The disc will arrive with 1080p and lossless PCM 5.1 audio plus games and interactive maps for the kids.
With a release date set for October 28th, 2008. I guess we'll have plenty of time to learn more about the return of this film. The suggested retail price will be $34.99.
