INCREDIBLE HULK and IRON MAN Movies Linked?

    Date: Wednesday, December 5, 2007

Marvel Studios, the studio branch of the comic property, has been playing more of a central role in production for their heroes as of late. The previous reports over the past year have indicated that they want to start bringing these characters together with the eventual goal of making an AVENGERS movie.

Well, Moriarty's latest scoop says this tie-in marketing plan may be starting next year with IRON MAN and THE INCREDIBLE HULK. The scooper goes on to say that there seems to be a pivotal scene which has the two franchises are tied in some sort of fashion for the fans though it's not clear what the scene will be about or which film it will appear in. It could be shown in Iron Man, having a scene linked to the events of Incredible Hulk or it could be vice versa. It could end up being in both films.

Toss in Spiderman and the New Captian America comming out and theres the Avengers.
There is no right or wrong in this debate. It is simply a matter of perspective.

Nick Fury is supposed to appear in Iron Man also. Perhaps he'll be sharing some information about the Hulk with Stark to tease the eventual team ups.

Sounds like Marvel wants to cash in on the whole "superhero team" movie to combat DC's upcoming Justice League of America film.

According to IMDB, Samuel L. Jackson will be Nick Fury. Interesting

Although, I though they weren't supposed to touch the Nick Fury character.

According to Tim Story, director of the Fanstastic Four films, Fury was supposed to be the actual general in the movie, but they told him to replace him with what eventually would become the General Hager character because they planned on doing a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie. So I don't know how they got him in this film. Hmm.

Different Studios. FF is run (into the ground imho) by Fox. S.H.I.E.L.D. and Nicky Fury were not liscensed to them. Marvel has them right now.

Anything Sam Jackson is in, I watch. I've seen some stinkers too.

Well, at the time, someone (either Fox or Marvel) told the director that a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie was in the works and they didn't want the character in FF2 because of that.

Because that would have required liscensing the character to the studio who produces the crappy FF movies. Marvel held onto Fury and are introducing him through one of their in house productions (Iron Man). Now that they are producing more films in house, they should be able to cross polinate characters much better. That's an impossible task when the franchises are spread between different studios.

They ARE hoping to use him in a much larger capacity in a future film. That's why they cast a star instead of a nobody even though his role should be rather small in Iron Man.
