  • Favorite Christmas movie quotes

I thought it'd be fun to share some of our favorite quotes from our favorite christmas movies:

    Chistmas Vacation

Oh, the silent majesty of a winter's morn... the clean, cool chill of the holiday air... an ******* in his bathrobe, emptying a chemical toilet into my sewer...

Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

Is your house on fire, Clark?

    A Christmas Story

Only one thing in the world could've dragged me away from the soft glow of electric sex gleaming in the window.

Only I didn't say "Fudge." I said THE word, the big one, the queen-mother of dirty words, the "F-dash-dash-dash" word!

He looks like a deranged Easter Bunny

Deck the halls with boughs of horry, fa ra ra ra ra, ra ra ra ra.

I have many more that I will share later I'm sure.

      A Christmas Story

"Show mommy how the little piggy eats!" (This is quoted randomly in our family year round)
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

May the Gumballs Be with You...Always.

      NO GOATS!

        You'll put your eye out.

I wanted to be a dentist

Oh look Frank.. a present.. I wonder what it could be? It's a TOASTER!! (WHAP)
        Growing older is manditory
        Growing up is however, optional

Merry Christmas, sh*tter was full! - Cousin Eddie, Christmas Vacation

Father Loves Beaver - TV announcer, Scrooged

Well, I'm sure Charles Dickens would have wanted to see her nipples. - Frank Cross, Scrooged

No, you are a hallucination, brought on by alcohol. Russian Vodka, poisoned by Chernobyl. - Frank Cross, Scrooged

You've got a program featuring America's favorite old fart. Reading a book in front of a fireplace. Now, I have to kill all of you. - Frank Cross, Scrooged

Burn some dust here. Eat my rubber. - Clark Griswold, Christmas Vacation

          From Christmas Vacation:
Clark Griswold - Hey, Kids, I heard on the news that an airline pilot spotted Santa's sleigh on it's way in from New York City.
Eddie - [after a pause] You serious, Clark?

Ok, there's lots more but that should do it for now.

Almost everytime we get a package someone in my family says, "Fra ge lay"!!

            I LOVE Scrooged:

"It's Christmas Eve. It's-it's the one night of the year when we all act a little nicer, we-we-we smile a little easier, we-w-w-we-we-we cheer a little more. For a couple of hours out of the whole year we are the people that we always hoped we would be. "

            "I'm alive . . . and so are you!"

                    Re: Favorite Christmas movie quotes

                    From Scrooge (1970):

                    Outside Bob Cratchit's house:
Ebeneezer Scrooge: I want to look in the window.
Ghost of Christmas Present: It will cost you nothing, which I'm sure is good news for you.
Ebeneezer Scrooge: Will they be able to see me?
Ghost of Christmas Present: No, which I'm sure is good news for them.

                    The Santa Clause:

Charlie: Neil doesn't believe in Santa.
Scott: Yeah, well, Neil's head comes to a point.

                    The Santa Clause 2:

Mother Nature: Don't mess with me Santa. I'm pre El Nino.

Carol: Well, maybe if you spent more time with your son, there would be fewer problems.
Scott: Maybe, but then I wouldn't get to spend more time with you. It's always such a pleasure.
Carol: Oh, a battle of wits. It's a shame that you come unarmed.

                    The Santa Clause 3:

Elves: Welcome to Canada! . . . Eh?
"But every night, when it gets dark
                    and the stars come out,
I'll look up on her behalf.
I'll look up in the sky and think of you."

                          From Elf:

We elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup.

I passed through the seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, through the sea of swirly twirly gum drops, and then I walked through the Lincoln Tunnel.

                          I'm a cotton-headed ninny-muggins.

                          From A Christmas Story:

Some men are Baptists, others Catholics; my father was an Oldsmobile man.

Now, I had heard that word at least ten times a day from my old man. He worked in profanity the way other artists might work in oils or clay. It was his true medium; a master. But, I chickened out and said the first name that came to mind. Schwartz!

                          From It's A Wonderful Life:

Hey look, mister - we serve hard drinks in here for men who want to get drunk fast, and we don't need any characters around to give the joint "atmosphere". Is that clear, or do I have to slip you my left for a convincer?

Merry Christmas, movie house! Merry Christmas, Emporium! Merry Christmas, you wonderful old Building and Loan!

I been savin' this money for a divorce, if ever I got a husband. (I use this on DH at times. )

                            It's a Wonderful Life

You've been given a great gift, George: A chance to see what the world would be like without you.

                            Miracle on 34th. Street

Susan: I believe... I believe... Even though it's silly, I believe.

                            A Christmas Story
Mr. Parker:Fra-gee-lay. That must be Italian.

"We believed in our idea - a family park where parents and children could have fun- together."

                            -Walt Disney

                              <not a movie, but a special>

                              Charlie Brown Christmas

"All I want is what's coming to me. All I want is my fair share"

"BAH, I've been kissed by dog lips! Get some disinfectant! Get some iodine!"

"It's run by an eastern syndicate you know."
