  • Did NASA ever contract out to Disney?

Mods -- feel free to move this. I am not too sure if this is the right forum.

Last night I was listening to the radio as I was falling asleep and this guy called in and said that Disney used to do work for NASA. Apparently the old animated scenes of outerspace that NASA used to produce were made by Disney for NASA. This would have been back in the 50s and 60s where there was no CGI and there were no sattelites out there to get actual photographs of outer space.

I have never heard this before and I have never heard it on Micechat. So my guess is that it's not true. Plus this guy was saying that Disney owns CBS so I am not too sure he knew entirely what he was talking about.

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Warner Von Braun was in three episodes of Disneyland. So it wouldn't surprise me.
