Disney chairman George Mitchell said Friday that the board is following through on its pledge to interview both internal and external candidates for the CEO position.
The remarks, made at Disney's annual shareholder meeting Friday morning, refute recent charges that current president Robert Iger is the sole candidate for the top job.
The board has said, and Mitchell repeated Friday, that the board is on track to pick a new CEO no later than June.
