  • So What's Your Favorite "Love Story"?

Since today is Valentine's Day, and a lot of people watch movies that have a romantic theme, what is your favorite love story?

For me it is, It Happened One Night. I also really love, Pride of the Yankees, which is actually a baseball movie, but it is also a love story about Lou Gehrig, and his wife Eleanor.

What movie, might you be watching on this Valentine's Day?

"While You Were Sleeping" or "Sleepless in Seattle" Is there some kind of theme here?

              Great choices everybody!

Stink - I actually remember being in college and picking True Romance as a date movie. He loved it, I was a bit overwhelmed with it all, but in the long term remembered loving that movie.

Another good one that people don't always agree on - Revenge with Kevin Costner. There is a scene in there that is HOT.

One of my favorite cheesey movies but has a great ending is "Never Been Kissed" - love that kiss!

I could go on and on...Ever After is another favorite.
I love my awesome crazy wonderful friends!!

WOW! I've never met anyone else who has "It Happened One Night" as their favorite movie!! Half the people I say that to don't even know about it.

In addition to that one I also love Roman Holiday, Casablanca, Barefoot in the Park, Pillow Talk, The Goodbye Girl, Overboard, Romancing the Stone, Once Around, Say Anything, A Room with a View, Jerry Maguire, The Holiday.

I'm watching Turner Classic right now, Funny Girl just ended and My Fair Lady is about to start...definitely two of my favorite movies, but I don't consider them romantic.

When Luke and Laura were on the run from Frank Smith on General Hospital, they ended up in Beecher's corners. They lived with the Whittakers who thought they were married. They shared a room. Laura made Luke put up what he called the "Walls Of Jehrico". That blanket between them, was based on the movie "It Happened One Night".

CASABLANCA! Nothing like decent writing to make a romance movie about not having any more romance.

Brokeback Mountain has all the tones of a classic tragic romance as well.

Sleepless in Seattle works for me too.

                          Peace,

Aww, I'm surprised no one else put The Notebook. I love this movie. I've never cried the way I did at the end. :gladsad:
