  • 70's Mickey Mouse Club question

When I was a youngster and was watching the 70's MMC there was a segment that I can bairly remember and I was hoping that some you might know. I believe it featured a full size puppet that looked like the Sherlock Holmes character from the Mickey Mouse comics. I remember the character with the actress who would later play Blair on the Facts of Life TV show in an airplane.

Any ideas of what the heck the segment was?

Lisa Welchel was a cast member of the show at that time. Don't remember that bit, though.

Roger: Not at any time. Only when it's funny.

Molly Ringwald also appeared on the 1970's MMC and was on the first season of Fact's of Life. My favorite was Kelley.

If Disney had any brains, they'd release this on DVD. This was MY Mickey Mouse Club. I liked Todd. I even had a blue Mickey ears hat like his. LOL! I remember the record they put out that had a cover of Three Dog Night's "Joy to the World".

Ah yes...Lisa Whelchel........I loved her on MMC of the 70's and then my crush started when The Fact's of Life began in 1979....HA HA

I don't know this segment you speak of, however.

But, if you want some info on Lisa Whelchel, you can google her. She's doing some really cool stuff these days - married to a pastor and has three children.....(just a little 'toot of the horn' for Whelchel )
