Well, at least the last one had one good track, which would be Main Street Electrical Parade by They Might Be Giants.

BTW, technically, this is Disneymania 4 -- the original was released a few years before Disneymania 1 by Walt Disney Records. It was merely just a spanish language cover album with the typical Spanish pop artists on it, but it did have a good punk cover of Small World.

I've never quite understood this thing they do where they try to promote these as if they are great, accomplished pop "stars", when noone on earth has ever even heard of half the acts. This one seems to have just a touch more recognizable people with all those American Idol folks. I avoided the previous entries to the series and I will avoid this one as well.

Yes, let's butcher classic songs to appeal to our tween audience shall we?
The only cover I liked form the Mania CDs were when Smash Mouth sang I Wanna Be Like You. It was decent.
            I lurk.

I do like "Proud of your boy" though (although it would be better without Clay *shudders*)...I think it would be cool if the put out a CD of the Deleated Songs like "I'm Odd" from Alice, or "The Chipanzoo" from Mary Poppins...yeah, that'd be cool

Actually those acts make up a large portion of the tween music industry. They know exactly who has a large 'disposable' income and face the facts, what age groups spend the most money on music?

Regarding ANYONE hearing of half the acts... hmmm... look below.

                    Do you work in radio?

I thought Raven was one of the Cheetah Girls... or was that just for the movie?

I like my DisneyMania CD's! It's not like you can't still listen to the originals; they're just different takes and some of them are pretty fun.

I've got multiple gigs going on. :o)

Haha... just had to explain the Raven / Cheetah Girls thing to a somewhat famous pop star. If you actually watch DCOM's Cheetah Girls you see that in the end Raven's character can't handle the pressure and leaves the group - thus leaving them without her in the group.

You might my site interesting - it's very Disney friendly...
