Disney Cast Members Recover Missing Rings
    April 22, 2008

A Massachusetts couple placed three rings in a cardboard container that were accidentally mistaken for trash while staying at Walt Disney World.

Paul Campanale was cleaning their hotel villa when he mistook the bowl for garbage, when it was holding his wife Karen's engagement, wedding and five-year-anniversary rings. Disney Cast Members informed the couple that it would be nearly impossible to recover the jewelry. The family took their two children and left for the Orlando airport via Magical Express.

Executive Housekeeper at the Wilderness Lodge Resort, Drew Weaver, realized that their trash had not yet reached the industrial-size compactor. Weaver and seven others dressed in protective clothing emptied the bins to search. They found the rings. Paul Campanale received the good news on his cell phone as Weaver drove them out to deliver the rings at the airport.

These types of things are the customer service gold standard that Disney used to be known for.
