        Re: Sydney Pollack died

He gave a terrific supporting performance just last year in 'Michael Clayton.'

I had the opportunity to meet him once years ago at the premiere for a film his company produced, 'The English Patient.' It was especially memorable because I also was introduced to "his date for the evening", Harrison Ford. What a night!

What a lifetime of films to his credit. He contributed so much to modern cinema, his is a great legacy.

            Re: Sydney Pollack died

I was saddened to hear of this. Sydney Pollack has been one of the good guys of Hollywood for many, many years, as both a director and as an actor. His performance as Dustin Hoffman's agent in 1982's Tootsie was priceless.

            He'll be missed.

This news brought a cloud to my day as well. Always interesting to watch as an actor and rewarding to watch films he directed. He'll be missed.
