Best of the Summer (so far):

March of the Penguins, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Fantastic 4, Star Wars Ep. III, Wedding Crashers

        Least favorite:

War of the Worlds, Madagascar (glad I didn't have to pay for this one)

Going to see "40 year old virgin" this weekend. It looks really funny. Also looking forward to Brothers Grimm and would still like to see Batman Begins, but will most likely wait for DVD on that one.

Aside from the huge event films of summer: Star Wars 3, Batman Begins and War Of The Worlds

My pick for most enjoyable in all categories would be have to be the unbeatable reteaming of Director Doug Liman and everybody's all-American Vince Vaughn. Oh, and these two...

              Best: March of the Penguins
              Worst: Deuce Bigalow
Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?
Homer: But Marge, this one came with a corn-cob pipe!
Marge: [reading from the test box] "Ahoy, Maties! If the water turns blue, a baby for you! If purple ye see, no baby thar be!"
Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
              Marge: Pink.
              Homer: D'oh!
Marge: "If ye test should fail, to a doctor set sail!"

For best it's either Hitched or March of the Penquins.

Worst? Herbie, shame they had to ruin the fame of such a great movie star! (and I'm not talkin' about Lindsay)

Re: Best and worst movies of summer

Haven't seen that many, actually. We saw Bewitched opening weekend and I was turned off to seeing any of the other big name summer movies. :yuck:

I liked Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. It was sweet.

                      Sky High was okay.

I need to see Charlie still....we have it on IMAX here, and it'll be big in our pub theaters soon. I'm obviously in no hurry.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith starts next week at the pub theaters, so I'll see it then.

March of the Penguins and Mad Hot Ballroom are my favorites by FAR this summer.

Third favorite was Me and You and Everyone We Know.

Re: Best and worst movies of summer

Wow, we just saw Broken Flowers, one of the worst movies ever. Bill Murray's minimalist performance is not deliberate. He was clearly bored stiff and the director could not get any level of performance out of him. This movie was 1,000 miles off from the brilliant film Lost in Translation. Jim Jarmusch (Director) is certainly no Sofia Coppola.

Other horrible films of the year include: Hitchhikers guide, Sahara, War of the Worlds and (sorry to all fans) Star Wars, these were all pure torture to sit through.

Middle of the Road: Bewitched, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, the Island, Deuce Bigalow

Great: Wedding Crashers, Crash, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Best: The Aristocrats (Just saw it last night. Laughed my butt off. But I'm twisted in that way.), Charlie, Batman
Worst: Star Wars 6, Fantastic 4
                              Just okay: Hitchchiker's, War
