  • Mobile version of MiceChat?

I know many people have been asking for a mobile version of MiceChat and MC has talked about building one, either an app for iPhone/Android or at least a version of the site designed for mobile devices. But it's been years and as far as I know nothing has been built.

There are forum apps already for iPhone/Android that work with vBulletin and many other forum systems. All that has to be done is to install a plug-in on the forum.

For example, Tapatalk is an app I'm thinking about getting for my Android phone, but I don't think MiceChat is setup to work with it. This is kind of the forum I visit the most, so I wouldn't get the app without MC.

Anyway, I wonder if any of the admins here could look into Tapatalk or Forum Runner - they have plug-ins and APIs and developer communities.

This might be the easy fast way to get a mobile version of MiceChat.

I've got an even faster one: Visit micechat.com/forums on your iPhone, Android, or Windows Phone device right now (and ensure that you are logged in). It's a start, and something provided by vB. As always, we're honestly working on some cool stuff in the App arena.

I'm not seeing anything special there, am I missing something? It's just the regular website, with all the zooming and scrolling that is necessary of any website on a small screen. I'm talking about a site or app for MiceChat that is designed for the small screen. What is it that vB is providing especially for small screens?

I am very excited to see what you guys are working on - can't wait!

You may need to logout, then log back in.

Hmm, I tried that and still get the regular website. I'm expecting to see a mobile version right? Presumably at m.micechat.com or micechat.com/m or something like that?

I'm using the stock browser on a Thunderbolt. I'll try installing Firebox mobile later.
