  • Rule on Signature Length?

Is there any rule on the length of a poster's signature? I feel some have become excessive as of late and I can't find any rule pertaining to any sort of limit (if there even is one). If not, I'll just turn signatures off, but I wanted clarification first on the matter.

Edit: I found the information I needed in the FAQ section. I still think there should be a limit of sorts as a signature should not read as a novel.
"Up" is a relative concept. It has no intrinsic value.

I think they used to be forced into a certain height and anything bigger would be scrollable. That was nice. I know it's possible to turn off signatures, but I like seeing most.

Yes, it does get a bit annoying when you have to scroll on and on to get the the next post. Some of the content in the form of big images or what ever seems to have nothing to do with Disney.

Maybe it's a form of attention mongering.

I agree I don't like when people post an essay for a signature. 10 lines max is all you need IMO

I turned off signatures years ago, and haven't missed them a bit. My own "signature" is/was a bit of a statement about this very issue, in fact.
Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?

Ditto. When I occasionally peek in w/o signing in and the siggies are visible, the clutter is incredible! Not a complaint, just sayin' that after getting used to the "clean skin" look, seeing a page with full signatures is amazing.

I actually think that MiceChat members have gotten quite conservative with their signatures lately. I used to have mine turned off, but when I included one of my own for a while, I turned them back on. They don't seem to distract me as much as they used to.

I haven't found the place on account pages where I can see them, since once in a while I'd like to look, but I turned signatures off years ago and haven't turned them on again. So much nicer to have only the posts. I got majorly annoyed at the sigs that filled an entire page on my screen, and so I said goodbye to them.
