  • Reflections?

Just because my curiosity is driving me nuts right now... What's the story on the avatar reflections today? I get that the logo colors are for Cinco de Mayo, but I wasn't sure how the reflections fit that theme.

    Not really complaining, just curious.

Well, when I look back at what my life has become, I can't help but realize...

        Re: Reflections?

The reflection effect is very cool (even works on my animated one!), but it's causing my browser to freeze up on every page, right after all the posts are loaded.

Yeah, whatever script makes it works, it must be an onLoad thing. After the html itself is loaded, the script goes to work and freezes things until all the reflections are rendered. I can't scroll while it's rendering. Especially noticeable on full pages.

What browser and OS are you using? It might be an IE-only script.

                  Re: Reflections?

Not only are the reflections slowing down the load time for each page on my computer, they are giving me a migraine. I know I have the option to turn off avatars, but I like being able to see people's avatars.

I really hope that the reflections don't last long.

(leaves thread to turn off avatars)

I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

                    It's too bad it's not a quicker-rendering script. I like the effect.

                      Re: Reflections?

I'm using Mozilla Firefox and they show up there but aren't slowing me down at all. Weird, but I kinda like them.

ETA: HEY! Now I don't see them, the last one I see on this page is Mamabot's post!

                          I've noticed inconsistencies too.

It's weird, man. It's like my avatar's like 3D and junk. Whoa, dude!

Whoa, for a minute I thought I was just REALLY tired!

I kind of like it, I'm not having slow down problems, but then again I shun IE.
