Monorail man, the "infractions" link in the FAQ pulldown is currently linking to the reputation faq.

Great idea!
Question on the sock puppet line item... I thought sock puppets were grounds for automatically being banned. Now it looks like they will be tolerated once or twice. That's a little confusing.

I know sometimes people have created a sock puppet without realizing that is what they are doing. But if a user creates one intentionally to get around the rules, I think they are banned. So I am confuzzled too!In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. I like the idea. Though now I want to start a thread called "I hate monorail man" because of the example.
So, are we not allowed to discuss particular infractionsSt. Elizabeth, Patron Saint of Themed parks. Protect us from break downs, long lines, and used gum. Amen.

Re: New Infraction System Discussions
In the case of "Micechat site bashing", what are the parameters? Is this saying that no criticism is allowed? Is it a matter of "I'll know it when I see it"?
Say someone says, "I'm really tired of how slow the board is running" or "I disgree with what Al said in his last column", something to that effect, is that bashing?
I'm not saying that it is a bad rule. I just think some parameters would be helpful.
Otherwise, I think it is a good idea, especially for repeat offenses."How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?"

I think it is more a "know it when you see it" sort of thing. People have come here to straight out bash us in the past and it's pretty darn obvious when it happens. Thankfully, it isn't something that occurs all that often, but enough to warrant a rule against it.In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope.
