I'm not too fond of these thread labels on any forum. Don't know why, they just get on my nerves.

      But oh well. I'll live.

      Keep up the great work

You'll be able to switch them to 'text only' mode (so they appear infront of the title, but no extra column). I just haven't put that code in yet.

Re: New Feature: Thread Types For Park Forums

We did this to help you all know what type of threads are in the hundreds of active threads at any moment. Looking for a trip report? No problem.

At first we had thought we might sub-divide some of the forums to add sections for Trip Reports, Videos, etc. That that just sounded too confusing and complicated. This is a very user friendly option that doesn't change the way your boards work. It just expands your information about the thread.

We hope you enjoy and encourage everyone to use them whenever possible. (they may soon be required in some of our forums)

With all of the whining around here (and yes, I'm guilty of it too), we may need a "complaint" thread type... although it wouldn't be very PC with our friends at Disney.

On second thought, we should probably just keep those little issues in the "other" column.

But Disney wouldn't call it a "complaint," it would be more of a "concern."

I have a question regarding what MM said. He said that in one month these titles would be required. As it stands this is only for the parks sections - will it continue to be that way, even when it becomes required?

Nah, just have a thread type called 'City Hall'
