  • Smiley Animations-Can't See Them

Are smiley animations only supported by certain web browsers? On my other laptop, I used Internet Explorer and I could see the smileys in all of their moving goodness. But now I'm using Mozilla and none of the emoticons are moving. They're all stationary. Is that just the way it is or is there a way for me to enable the animation? I sure do miss the happy dance of the :yea: smiley.

The animations are just the pictures themselves.. they should work fine. But I wouldn't recommend using mozilla anyways.. if you don't want to use IE use Firefox

Supposedly Mozilla has a preference for animated gifs - can set them to only play once, etc. I'm not familiar with the setting, but I've read in some google hits it exists, and may be available via the preference toolbar?

MissChristine: Wish I had an answer. I'm having a similar problem. My animated smilies aren't showing up at all - just the square. BTW, I'm using Firefox too, but I'm having the same issues on MS Outlook.

Guess this isn't an important issue, but it would be nice to know.

Well, I don't really have an option of which web browser I'm to use. I'm borrowing a laptop and the owner asked me to stick to Firefox. I'll try searching around google again.

I GOT THEM TO WORK! HUZZAH!!

Here's the site that helped me.

            http://kb.mozillazine.org/Images_or_...ns_do_not_load

I had to mess around with Firefox and ZoneAlarm.
