  • MiceChat Rules (updated 6/30/19)

    TLDR version of the rules:

Be nice. Don't be a jerk. If you have an axe to grind, please grind it elsewhere. Your opinion is no better than anyone else's. No one in the history of man has ever won an argument on the internet. Please don't think you will be the first.

    Normal version of the rules:

    1. Be nice.
    2. Trip reports will be heavily moderated. If you have a comment that is not directly related to the thread, don't post. If you enjoy the report, please comment to let the author know. If you don't like it, don't say anything.
2a. Threads asking for advice will also be heavily moderated. If you can answer the question, please do so. If the answer is negative, but it's based on personal experience and relevant, post it.
    3. Be nice.
    4. Personal attacks on other members are not allowed. A personal attack is a statement, express or implied, that criticizes another member's post or opinion.
    5. Be nice.
    6. Don't derail a thread.
    7. Be nice.
    8. Avoid using labels that might be considered offensive. The terms "Disney Defender" and "Disney Critic" are forbidden. If these terms are used they will be removed from a post.
    9. Be nice.
    10. If you see a post that you don't agree with, count to 30 before responding, or don't respond at all.
    11. Be nice.
    12. We all have different opinions. Avoid trying to convince others that your opinion is superior. It's a waste of time, and it will never work.
    13. Be nice.
    14. Criticism of Disney management in their professional capacity is allowed. Criticism that derails a thread will be moved to the Litter Box.
    15. Be nice.
    16. If you are going to post something that's not nice, ask yourself if it has a purpose. Is it Disney-related? Does it need to be posted? Is there a benefit to the community as a whole? If the answer is no, maybe it should not be posted.
    17. Be nice.
    18. Trolling is forbidden.
    19. Be nice.
    20. If you are going to quote someone, use their exact words. Do not paraphrase another poster and attribute your words to them.
    21. Be nice.
    22. Requests to gain access to Club 33 are not allowed. (This is for your protection so you don't get scammed.)
    23. Be nice.
    24. Please re-read #12 a few times.
    25. Please, please, PLEASE be nice to each other.
    26. Report posts that violate the rules. Don't get Litter Boxed by trying to handle it yourself.
    27. Be nice.
    28. Humor, wit, satire and sarcasm are welcome, where appropriate. Stop flagging posts because you don't have a sense of humor or you don't like sarcasm.
    29. If you flag a post, please include what rule it violated. If you can't find the rule it violated then let me know why you think we need to add a new rule.
    30. Be nice.
    31. If you are a cast member, or you want to be one, please do NOT post personal information here. Please call your hiring representative or consult the cast member website for information.
    32. Be excellent to each other!

Violations of these rules will result in the post being sent to the Litter Box. When a post is sent to the Litter Box you will receive a PM explaining what rule was violated. There is no set limit on how many times a member can have posts sent to the Litter Box, but based on the frequency and severity of violations, a member can be suspended or banned. There is no set guideline right now, but that might change.
