  • Anyone go to Mary Poppins event?

Wasn't there some sort of Mary Poppins stage package for D23 members last week? I did not see any reports - would love to hear about it!

For those interested, I read somewhere that the LA cast of Mary Poppins will be performing a full number on the Conan oBrien Tonight show this evening (Monday). I dont normally watch but will have to tape it. Thought you might want to know!

Somebody must've gone. It was a sold out event! haha

Anyways, thanks for the heads up for Conan. Definitely would want to watch that.

Didn't go for D23 event, but went Sat Evening Nov 28th.

WOW...That's a great show. Leave the presuppositions at home. Its a whimsical and yet surprisingly moving story. And the company was "full on".

      Great show

I saw Mapo in London during its test and adjust phase (we were given surveys asking about various scenes and show elements), and I would love to see it again here in L.A. in its finalized form. I noticed it has been extended through February, and I have also found that castmembers get a great discount, with tickets as low as $20! I will most likely see it once I return from my Christmas vacation.

I didn't go to the L.A. event, but I went to the similar one in Chicago last Spring and it was amazing! The seats were amazing (5th row center) and with out tickets, each member of our party got the full program and the 45th Anniversary DVD of the classic film. After the show, we had a private Q&A with 10 members of the cast, including Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins) and Gavin Lee (Bert). We weren't allowed to take pictures, but they answered questions for about 15 minutes and it was amazing.

They had a similar event in New York, but they didn't get a copy of the DVD and instead of a Q&A, they took a photo with Mary and Bert.

I'm not sure what was different about the L.A. event, but it would be great if one of the attendees was a Mice Chatter who could share some info.
