  • D23 Party, Rain or Shine..err Moonlight?

So I'm going to the disneyland d23 party and am concerned about raining on the site it doesn't say anything about if its rain or shine event (obviously it won't be sunny, but... moon light ish haha). If it does happen to rain what happens? are we moved to a inside buildling or do the festivities already start in a certain building in fantasyland? Just trying to make sure how to pack its been pouring cats and dogs here in norcal I want to have a nice rain-free night!

Re: D23 Party, Rain or Shine..err Moonlight?

It's D23's first year so I'm not sure as to what they'll do if it rains - it was something that I was thinking about even though I can't attend the event.

So far, rains in SoCal haven't been bad. Today, it was scheduled to rain really hard, but I haven't seen anything more than mediocre showers - in other words, I've seen worse and dealt with worse in the parks.

Hopefully, they address this soon and if it's something that concerns you, I'm sure a little friendly email to D23's ticketing staff may be able to provide an answer (contact information, I think, should be within the confirmation letter you get - it came with my confirmation for studio tours).

P.S. There's the D23 section on micechat found here: D23 - Disney Twenty Three - MiceChat that has a thread dedicated for calling out all those attending the events. Asking this question there probably won't be a bad idea, though responses tend to be slow since it's not a very popular section.

I think it would be more fun in the rain!

As long as one dresses appropriately. The downside to the rain is that if it does happen, then all the characters they promise to bring out wouldn't come out. I rarely see characters out in the rain, and probably they ahve good reason to.

Since it's Fantasyland they could always use the DPFF/Theater area if it rains. The princesses are there when it rains and other characters could be too if they use the theater.

                  OOO Ron, good thinking!

I still hope it isn't super rainy, I wanna take lots of pictures and this seems like it will be less crowded than trying to on another day
