  • What would you like to see at next years D23 expo

What do you feel worked and didn't work at last years D23 Expo in Anaheim. What improvments and ideas would you like to see for the 2011 D23 Expo. Here are my ideas to offer a bit of an example.

    * Now that Disney own Marvel, can we see a Marvel presence at the Expo.

    * The Imagineering Pavilion was great. Would love to see the Imagineers giving addresses at the Arena presentation. Instead of Jay or Tom reading out some corparate press release.

    * Bring back the ABC Screening room. A new idea for the Arena Presentation would be to annouce the full line up for Dancing with the Stars.

    * Don't underestimate the popularity of presentations like World of Colour. Make sure these kind of presentations are held in the Arena which holds a much bigger capacity.

Make exclusive, authentic Walt Disney era movies, TV programs, music and art media available for purchase to all attendees: premium quality copies of the actual unreleased shows and materials on CD and DVD.

Not documentaries or spin-offs or memorials but "Song of the South," "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color" season sets, "Disneyland Showtime," "Escapade in Florence," "The Horsemasters," "The Sign of Zorro," "The Light in the Forest," "The Sword and the Rose," "Sammy the Way-Out Seal," etc - - new editions of Walt Disney Treasures with Ludwig VonDrake, Jiminy Cricket, Ranger Woodlore, etc. -- the previously released Disney Movie Club Exclusives, reissues of the earlier Treasures, etc. - - plus movie posters, attraction posters, animation model sheet sets - - CDs with cover art of all the restored LPs now on iTunes and Amazon, plus more that haven't been released yet - - all the good stuff they haven't given us from Walt's vaults.

That would make the whole effort worthwhile (and shut some of us up for awhile) - - allowing us to purchase the real deal as entertainment and art to keep and enjoy - - not just promotions and memories.
