I can see why you would be dissatisfied, since for 27 cents a day, including the Cars Land event, you only got to call yourself a member of the Disney fan club, received about five free gifts, got the magazine, received the newsletter and got the membership card and its discounts. Yeah, it's a bad deal, not like the $400 a year annual pass that allows me to stand in line with everyone else and gets me treated like, oh, any other guest at the overcrowded parks. So much for being a Disney fan!

      I agree with the poster.

I signed up for D23 when it was first offered (at that time for $75/yr). I did enjoy the D23 glossy magazine but not 75 bucks worth. This club is most beneficial to folks who live near a Disnry resort, or who can afford to jet around the country to D23 events. Oh, and Premium APs now cost $650! I am a fan, but the corporate powers that be at Disney are pricing me right out of the market.

I would definitely have to agree with you there. I bought it since it started but I just cant afford it this time round. I live in Northern California and its just not worth it to us to get the D23 Memberships. I love the magazines and the offers but I just cant take advantage of it all since I'm on a budget and cant drive to Anaheim every weekend. We went to the first Expo and missed the second and its been fun but I have to pay rent. So yeah, theyve priced us right out.
"Whether in his movies or in his theme parks, Disney always promised a fantasy in which one could exercise the privileges of childhood - privileges he never abandoned in his own life. This will to power took the inanimate and brought it to life, or the illusion of like. In animation one could exercise the power of a god." - Neal Gabler, writer-'Walt Disney, The Triumph of The American Imagination'

Re: I agree with the poster.

thx for this info. I was going to ask earlier if most of the events offered are in SoCal. I'm in the SF Bay area so it does not seem to be worth it to join if all the fun stuff is only in Anaheim.
