  • Sir Paul confirms that 14 minute Beatles Track is NOT a myth

BBC NEWS | Entertainment | 'Mythical' Beatles song confirmed

Sir Paul McCartney has confirmed a 14-minute long Beatles track many thought was a myth does exist - and says he wants the public to hear it.

He told BBC Radio 4's Front Row the track - called Carnival of Light - was not released because the other Beatles thought it was too "adventurous".

The improvised track was recorded in 1967 for an electronic music festival.
Sir Paul said Ringo Starr and John Lennon's and George Harrison's estates would have to agree to a release.
I'm totally intrigued by this, and hope it does somebody come to life. You know Yoko will do whatever to make a buck off of John's name. I'm sure Ringo would go for it. The only question would probably be Harrison's family, but I don't think they would object either.
    Get workin' on it Paul!!!!

This is great stuff! Maybe where they could work it so that Paul and Ringo could re-record their parts, to go with the electronic John and George...something akin to Natalie Cole's duet of "Unforgettable" a few years back.

    In any event, great news!

I just hope it's better than Free As A Bird.

From the way it was described sounds like it really sucked. Even the Threetles veto'ed it from the Anthology CD's

It'll come out eventually I guess. After Paul gives a big chunk of cash to his ex he'll be looking for a big payday. Now he's gotta haggle with Yoko.

              ^^

Sadly that's so true. But I'm curious now so I want to hear it, even if it sucks like a Hoover on high speed.
