  • Brooks & Dunn Are "Calling It A Day" - Splitsville In Other Words

I heard this on local ABC 7 news, but couldn't even find it on their website.

I looked on here, but there was no thread yet.

I checked their website, and it is apparently true. According to their website, they will release their next album, which might be their final at least for now, titled "#1's....And Then Some", and will say goodbye after their Last Rodeo Tour in 2010. Stay tuned to their website for tour dates when they're released.

    To Our Fans:

After 20 years of making music and riding this trail together, we have
agreed as a duo that it's time call it a day. This ride has been
everything and more than we could ever have dreamed.... We owe it all
to you, the fans. If you hear rumors, don't believe them, it's just

We will release our #1's and then some" on September 8th and bid
you farewell one last time in 2010, with The Last Rodeo Tour...(dates to be

As the saying goes, never say never, or....never say goodbye. What may be splitsville now, will always leave room for a reunion somewhere down the road. Prime example of that is the band Creed. But that's another story.

I'm not much of a country fan....but, I like a few of their songs. Wonder if either will pursue a solo career.

      Sad times
      Good morning, son
      In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
      It was pain
      Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
