  • Disney in concert at the Warner Grand in San Pedro

The Golden State Pops Orchestra has a full schedule of concerts this winter and spring, including a concert of Disney songs and music on May 22 at 8:00 PM. Tickets range in price from $15 to $35 per person. The concert will be at the beautiful movie palace the Warner Grand Theatre in San Pedro. No matter where you are in Southern Cal, you'll probably get there via the 110 freeway; San Pedro is at the southern-most end of that freeway. Check out the website www.GSPO.com to buy tickets and check on the full slate of concerts there will be between now and the end of spring.

Texan by birth, Californian by choice.

There should be a sticky thread called "This Day in Disney History." The company has a long history and this would be a good way to acknowledge it. Walt was born 112 years ago; that's quite a chunk of American history and culture.

Re: Disney in concert at the Warner Grand in San Pedro

Bad news: The Warner Grand is owned and operated by the city of L.A. and because of the economy, they are looking for a private operator to take over the theatre. The theatre may be dark for six months, so it's looking bleak for this concert.

You can read the full story at www.dailybreeze.com When you see the homepage, use the search engine at the top of the page and have it search for "Warner Grand." The first link is the one you should read.
