  • Review of the Sherman Brothers Songbook.

When one hears the name 'Sherman Brothers' they instantly think of Mary Poppins, the Enchanted Tiki Room, Winnie the Pooh, etc. But did you know they did the songs 'Tall Paul' and 'Pineapple Princess' for Annette? Some of the music for AristoCats? And the song, 'Meet The World' for Tokyo Disneyland?
This two-disc CD collection contains some works from the Sherman Brothers career with disney, both familar and new to some of us. Some of the pieces from the album are already on some other albums, but this does not make this album complete collection of the Sherman Brothers career(there are only 59 tracks in the entire collection, three of them touch on a movie Walt and his studio did not make, but Walt gave his blessing to the Sherman Brothers anyway.)

The booklet was very informative about some of the selections in the Brothers Songbook, like the two songs for the 1964 Worlds Fair, the Productions of Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, the Parent Trap and many others (it high lights some the most importaint times for the Brothers awhile they were under contract for disney.)
Overall, This is a wonderful Album for anyone(be it a disney fan or a music lover.) The Price for this album, is fine for what it is (it costed $19.95 at the Disney Gallery in DL, which is where I bought it.)
I will to show a tracklisting later, but first your thoughts on this review.
