  • Ashley Brown returns to 'Mary Poppins'

Ashley Brown, who received Outer Critics Circle, Drama League and Drama Desk award nominations for creating the role of Mary Poppins in the Broadway musical of the same name, will return to that part March 8 at 7 PM at the New Amsterdam Theatre.

Brown will assume the title role through July 17 while Laura Michelle Kelly, who is currently playing the part, will take a brief hiatus for a film project. Kelly is scheduled to return to the show July 19.
Brown will be reunited with her original Broadway Bert, co-star Gavin Lee, having last performed with him when they launched the Mary Poppins North American tour.

Fantastic news. Both Ashely and Gavin Lee together again on stage?!

I was lucky enough to see them both perform at the Ahmanson Theater when the national tour came to LA. Such an amazing show
