  • Your Albums of 2011!

List your album acquisitions to date between January 1 and now, and as you obtain them as the year progresses. Format is unimportant - CD, digital, vinyl, cassette, etc. - it's all good, but you can list the format if you like.

    Here's mine:

              So far:

Duran Duran - All You Need Is Now

Their best album since the 80's. Really. Total return to form for them.

@Retrocool, I think I have 4 or 5 of the '70s albums there on original vinyl: the Robin Williams, 2 or 3 of the Cheech & Chong, and Babylon by Bus.

                  Parka Bruthuz UK - ^H

Various Artists - Black to Communist

Various Artists - Hawaiian Eye Soundtrack

                      Re: Your Albums of 2011!

Added a couple more albums to my collection recently:

Mumford and Sons - Sigh No More

I realize this album didn't come out this year (2009 actually) but it's "new to me" and totally great.

Decemberists - The King is Dead

Only had one listen so far, and I really like it. I'll give it some time to grow on me the way "Hazards of Love" did.

Daft Punk - Tron Legacy Reconfigured

Totally digging it so far. I know a lot of people were bashing it, but I really enjoy the different takes on it.
