Re: What Broadway shows have you seen?

i think the worst time to see a show is either right after it opens or right before it closes.
over the years i have seen so many shows either on broadway itself or on tour that i am not sure i can list them all. some of the highlights were
    hello dolly with carol channing
the king and I with yule brenner
    the original chorus line
    best little whorhouse in texas
    i love my wife
le cauge a fauxe(i can never remember how to spell that show)
    brigadoon
annie get your gun with marilou henner and another time with florence henderson
    damn yankees with donny most
    big river
    throughly modern millie
    the lion king
    beauty and the beast
    showboat with forest tucker
    the producers
    wicked
    gypsy with bernadette peters
and several that i can't remember the names of. thank heavens we have several theaters and perfomance halls in the tampa bay area and they bring in top knotch shows. I also manage to get myself to nyc every other year or so so I can spluge and see the real thing.

I've only seen one show actually "on" Broadway and it's not a musical...Does it still count?- Cyrano de Bergerac.

Others I've seen on tour in no particular order:

    Phantom of the Opera
    Stomp
    Mamma Mia
    Wicked
    Lion King
    Miss Saigon

    As for myself...
    Broadway:

    Wicked 5
    Spamalot 5
    Beauty and the Beast 5
Mamma Mia 4 (Okay it's not really a good show but highly entertaining)
    Movin' Out 3

    National Tours:

Wicked 5 (Elphaba was much stronger than on B'way, Glinda a little weaker)
    Les Miserables (twice) 5
    Spamalot 5
    Jesus Christ Superstar 5
Beauty and the Beast 4 (Enjoyed it more on Broadway because I was more familiar with it at that point)
Phantom of the Opera 4 (probably was a 5 when I saw it but my liking for the show has gone down a lot since then)

By January, I should be able to add Avenue Q to the list. I can't wait!

It's incredibly hysterical. I saw it this past February and they even threw in a "I'm the father of Anna Nicole's baby" joke which was extremely funny and got one of the biggest laughs actually.
