It's been just over thirty years ago. August 1977. I went with my buddy to see the latest James Bond film (The Spy Who Loved Me). Something magical happened about ten minutes into the film, I fell in love. Yep, that's right, I fell in love with my first song. NOBODY DOES IT BETTER, and Carly Simons voice, oh my, this was the first film to feature dolby stereo, and this song just seemed to go right through to my soul. To this day, thirty years later, and hearing again the other morning for the many hundredth time, (I'm sure) it's still gives me goose-bumps. This has got to be the most romantic song I've ever hear in my life! After a film was over, it was always customary for us to either head home (if it was later) or duck into the other theatre (we were 14 years old) and try to catch the other film that was playing if an usher wasn't standing outside the door that is. I stayed for the credits though, oh yeah, right to the very end just to hear this song again.:love:
