  • World of Color in RCT3

I haven't touched RCT3 in a while, so I wasn't expecting to see this on YouTube. Needless to say, there's still people playing it, and now we've got a handful of people recreating World of Color using the Soaked! expansion packs and Advance Particle Editor.

This same person is even going out of their way to use video editing software to put in the projection images!

So what do you guys think? (Those few that will read this thread, that is.)

That's amazing!! I used to play that game so much when it came out. I can't even begin to fathom how to even begin a project like that~

I can tell you, because I used to hang out on the forums these people are on.

Basically, just like how there are people still playing the game to recreate their favorite theme parks, there's a community of people out there that use RCT3 to create and recreate fireworks shows. Everything from set dressing to realistic-looking particle effects is done within those studios.

And they're obsessive! They know where all the launch zones are for any Disney park and can recreate those sets accrurately. The X factor comes in with the fireworks themselves, because the game doesn't really have a true sense of scale.

When you put all this into consideration, a WoC RCT3 version isn't very far off. The fountain layouts have been online for a good while, and it wouldn't surprise me if some user was insane enough to put all 1000+ fountains out there. But that's not the difficult part.

The difficulty lies in the movement of the fountains.

Hey this is the creator of that recreation. I was just looking on the internet and was super surprised when I found this! Thanks so much for putting my video on hear! It really was great reading all the comments and seeing that someone thought my video was good enough to show to other people! Thanks again!
