  • RCT3 movie maker sound?

I have made many movies of my Harry Potter park using the built in movie maker (CTL+Shift+F11) but although the sound is playing while the movie is being made, there is no sound when you play the movie back (which I knew would happen as it says that in one of the updates). But people have done incredible movies using RCT3 and they all have track and side sounds. Does anyone out there know how to do this? I looked for sound files that I could play back, but no liuck. How do you get sound files of the coaster sounds to add to Windows Movie Maker? I can add music from my own MP3 files, but I can't figure out how to get the sounds from the games, like the explosions in the fireworks shows. They are all there on the movies I have seen, but how do you do it?

Unfortunatly, there is no way to capture sound out of the game. What you could do, is use a tool like FRAPS (it ecords everything on your screen, and audio as a movie file), and then use the audio for the file out of RCT3 Movie Maker.

I found the free trial version of FRAPS and it does work. I will have to think about registering it though to unlock it. It will only record a movie with sound for 30 seconds in the free trial version, but that was enough to prove it worked, and faster than the RCT3 movie thing, that takes up to 4 hours to record silent 3 to 4 mintues of video. I will say though that the video in the RCT3 movie thing is much better and higher quality than FRAPS. Now, how do I get the sound only from the Windows Media file that FRAPS creates to add onto the Movie Maker program? Not the RCT3 movie maker, but the Windows movie maker that takes all the short clips from RCT3 and makes a big movie out of them with special effect transitions, sound and other stuff.

        Simple!

        1. Click "Import Audio or Music"
        2. In the File Selection Box, change "Files of Type" to "All Media Files"
        3. Find the FRAPS file, and select it, hit Open.
        4. Switch to the Timeline view.
        5. Drag the File onto the Audio/Music track.

Then you can cut the music and video how you wish.

Thanks. I will copy this so I can remember how to do it when the time comes. Now I have to rethink a lot of stuff so I can make a really good movie.
