  • My Insane Coaster

This a new coaster based on a new real coaster "Renegade" being built at Valley Faire in the midwest. This video was made before the actual Park I am working on was detailed. It's a ride on the coaster.

I had to use Rapid Share to upload it so it will take about 10 to 11 minutes to download no matter if you save it or open it. No sound of course.

I would like to know what you think. I have opened the Park and every ride is full.

    Enjoy.

Can I get a review or something here. I wonder why no one is taking a ride. I know Rapid Share takes forever and stuff, but I really would like to know what you think of the coaster. Please.

      Re: My Insane Coaster

      Edit:

      Overall Rating: 9.3/10

It was very good, the colors were nice, nice turns, not TOO fast, but not too slow. The thing that got me was when you were going up. It seemed like it took forever to get up. That is my only problem with it. By the way, what program did you use to make that? It was very good, and seemed almost real.

Ok, I am downloading it now. I will edit this in, well, I guess 10 minutes or so once I watch it and it is done downloading. Or my mom will make me go to bed first !

        Re: My Insane Coaster

Thank you. That was made with nothing but RCT3. I used the standard Wooden Coaster and just fiddled with it until I got that bank and twist for the initial drop to work the way I wanted. It looks much better now with other rides and trees in the Park. Also since this coaster on the West side cuts the park in half, there are wooden walkways that go over the tracks on that long straight away. It's an all Western Themed Park.

The reason for the long climb up on both those big left hills was to get high enough for the drop to reach the speed to take the trains all the way to the next big hill. And the one at the end was necessary as you need the speed to keep the trains moving through the two fly-bys at the station. On this wooden coaster the chain lift speed in 8.25,ph and you can't make it go faster. I tried, but it wouldn't change the speed. I will probably post another one after I finish the entire Park so you can see all the scenery and stuff.

I know Rapid Share takes some time to download these big files, but it's the only one I know that allows free uploads of up to 300mg. If anyone here knows of a better free place to upload/download big files (You Tube won't) please let me know.

Thank you for the explanation. I will have to search for RCT3. I have some Disney roller coaster program, um...let me find it...Ultimade Ride. I played that in Innoventions once and loved it. Where can I get Roller Coaster Tycoon 3? Some place like Best Buy? Also, I understand about the drops. It just seemed a little too long almost. Maybe make it go up faster, quicker. I mean, instead of going at say, a 45 degree angle, go at like a 60 degree angle. SO that you are more straight up and down. It would sort of add to the suspence, and make it sort of cool.

            Re: My Insane Coaster

RCT3 came out almot three years ago and has two expansion packs, Soaked and Wild. It was developed by Frontier and released through Atari. Chris Sawyer once again created this as he did RCT and RCT2. The only problem for most people is that you need a very high end computer to run it as the 3-D graphics need plenty of computing and graphic power. If you read through all the posts in this thread on RCT you will notice a lot of the people who got RCT3 cannot run it with out a huge expendeture for almost a new computer.

There are lots of custom packs for it on the Atari Forums as linked in another thread.

The real problem now is that Chris Sawyer is sueing Atari for non payment of Royalites owed to him, so Atari has dropped all support and update patches, etc., for the game. Because of all this stuff, I would hesitate to recommend it unless you don't care about support and already have a high end, high speed prcocessor and a darn good graphics card. It's a lot of fun if you can take the interface. If you have had experience with either RCT or RCT2 then the transisition is not all that bad. Different and more icons but the basic building of thing is the same.

I have all the Disney Coaster games and the main difference is that with the Disney games you can only build one coaster at a time. RCT3 allows you to build an entire park, put scenery, booths, food booths, all kinds of neat stuff and then go down to ground level and walk through your Park and ride almost all the rides you build. It's really kind of fun, but time consuming.

                Re: My Insane Coaster

I guess there is some kind of time limit and since hardly no one comes to this thread anymore, no one downloaded it except for Dubeskin, they deleted it. I hate Rapids share anyway. I am working on a new Park now anyway based on Neverland from Peter Pan. I had one built, posted a thread with pictures, but no one looked. I built another one with a larger island and a different more authentic shape to the island but I haven't posted anything more here because since people think that there is nothing new since Atari dropped the RCT games and no longer supports them that fans don't keep the game alive with custom stuff. Let me look into some other free file sharing sites and see if I can't find something better than rapid share and I will re-post the Renegade Coaster again.
