By "BUMP" I'm guessing you mean when someone posts the word "bump" to move their thread to the top or closer to the top of discussed threads.
Personally, a bump here and there is fine - especially in trade threads after a week (not a day/hours/minutes). For conversational threads, sometimes they come back and sometimes they are done. You can't expect every thread to become a successful discussion - or maybe it will become one in a few days.
SnapplePlucked, you said that we aren't posting enough. I think we are doing just fine. We just need to learn how to SEARCH, learn some patience when scrolling through threads (this includes looking at dates), etc. Remember you can set your User CP to show "new posts" for just the VMK sections to see what is new as well.
When "bumping" something be sure to ADD to the topic/thread and not just writing "BUMP" (or any form of it) in a large font.
I know, I'm just saying, once I only saw two new posts. LOL. It wasn't to offend or say we're slow typers. Maybe we're really into VMK. Too addiccted I may say? Well, I am so I admit it.

No, I think that things come and go as far as forums go.
MiceChatters learned this lesson with the start of Disneyland's 50th celebration. The buzz was all about each change, new attraction (buzz, space refurb), the new parades, new fireworks, etc. Once it started and July 17th, 2005 (the actual day of Disneyland's opening, 50 years later) came and went there was a bit of a lull.
Here in MCV we've been busy all summer talking about the fun water slides (with the slide-a-thon, etc), new items, pin events, dc problems, and more recently with Tron month. We've been so busy talking about what Halloween will bring - and now that it's here, we aren't sure what's next or really what to say next. :cwink:
Remember, it's quality over quantity. Even if you only see two - that doen't mean it's a bad thing as TC, Figment, yoyo and myself are usually posting well after you all go to bed and we often see nothing.
I get what your saying. I've noticed the lack of posts also. I'd come on micechat and miss all sorts of posts. But now i dont miss one.. maybe its just because we got so used to our randomness thread it seems like no one posts anymore..?
I know! Don't you see most of the lasts posts are mine, I feel like no one notices them. It's like, "Oh, Snap posted there, I'm not even posting a period there after her post." It feels weird.

As I've mentioned before, just because someone reads posts doesn't mean that someone has to respond right after them. Sometime there isn't anything to say, or at least at the given moment.
