VMK Splash Screen tip...

Some of you may have already noticed, but for those who haven't:

When you first log-in to VMK, the starting "splash" screen shows you the whole park, but it also has a little box in the bottom left-hand corner that has "cool places" to visit.

In the past, you've been able to visit the Pirate Treasure Room, the Pirates of the Caribbean Game Lobby, and other rooms that are new or important to quests for the month.

The list of links there for the month of January, 2007:
BLUE BAYOU
VMK GALLERY
CASTLE FIREWORKS REMIXED
MONORAIL STATION (Main Street)

I will try and edit this section each month (or each time VMK changes the list).

That's actually a pretty good tip, thanks! I knew it was there, but had never thought about using it in the ways you described!

Some of you may have already noticed earlier this month, but for those who haven't:

When you first log-in to VMK, the starting "splash" screen shows you the whole park, but it also has a little box in the left-hand corner that has "cool places" to visit. In the past it has been stuff I really haven't been interested in, but this month it includes the Pirate Treasure Room.

So, if you're trying to get there for a quest or to use a bunch of key pins you have stored up while playing the pirates mini-game, you can get there from the main map, instead of walking to the left from the pirate game lobby. It doesn't show up on the AdventureLand map, but it does on the main map.

Also, you can click on advanced mode, click the Treasure Room in the places to visit, and you can go to any instance you like. Before you couldn't do this.

hm.. good tip but i think i can handle walking across the pirates room. Phwew i hope my vmk character doesnt fall over from exhaustion from all that walking!

a) I did know it was there, but never thought to actually USE it
b) I DIDN'T know u could use advanced mode for it ... wow

when you think you know EVERYTHING about VMK, you learn something new..
