  • Your Favorite Disney Video Games

Disney has put out many video games on many different systems over the years. Do you have any favorites?

In no particular order, these would be mine:

    - Mickey Mania (Sega CD)
    - Jungle Book (Sega Genesis)
    - Toy Story (Sega Genesis)
    - Tarzan Untamed (GCN)
What if the Hokey-Pokey really is what it's all about?

I absolutely love Kingdom Hearts. My grandson and I did a lot of bonding over that game. When I first began playing it, I was terrible. It took me forever to Smash the barrels in the Colesseum. He had to help me so many times.

I just loved the animation. I played it the first time, with lots of help. It took me so long, that I went over 100 hours, and it started counting again from 0.

I have since played it 4 other times. I got better each time, not needing my grandson's help at all when I played it expert.

The only thing I did not like was the gummy ship. I played the game, choosing a different weapon each time. I played staff, sword and shield. It was definitely different each time. I enjoyed all the different worlds and got the ultimate weapon each time.

Awe some game. Can't wait for Kingdom Hearts 2.

Did not do well on Chain of Memories, however.

My favorite are generally the older games such as:

Adventures in the Magic Kingdom (NES)
          DuckTales (NES and Commodore 64)
Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse (SNES)
          Goof Troop (SNES)
          The Lion King (SNES)
Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers (NES)
          Aladdin (SNES)
          J.B. Opie

Anybody remember Mickry and Donald's World of Illusions for SEGA Genesis? My sister and I used to play that all the time.

Dance Dance Revolution's Disney Mix. Who can resist singing "Eeetsa smaw smaw worrwd" along with the ambiguous asian voices? Gotta love it!

That sounds like a blast! I've never heard of it. Is is an arcade or console game?

One game I forgot to mention was DuckTales for the Game Boy. I had so much fun with that game. I must've played it through at least 10 times in addition to just playing certain levels now and again.

Some disney games that aren't that great but I still love are:
                    - Pocahontas (Genesis) It's so fun gaining the animal abilities.
                    - The Lion King (Genesis) The final battle really rocks
                    - Bell's Quest (Genesis) Very simple yet fun RPG
What if the Hokey-Pokey really is what it's all about?

It's for the original Playstation, and to my suprise seems to have become a collectors item. It's in the $65-$100 range on e-Bay! (It's no longer manufactured.) Give it a try if you find it, it's a lot of fun.
