  • Super Mario Bros. & Legend of Zelda series on DVD!

Yep. But the irony of the whole thing is that they are being released by Sony Music! That's hilarious! Anyway, they'll be coming out around October 25th...

Now the ultimate slap in the face would be to release them in UMD format for the Sony PSP...

yeah it had like 12 episodes

it was part of the same show as origional Mario I believe

the Mario cartoon was part of several different cartoon thing I believe and there were three different series "Mario Brothers Super Show" "Mario Brothers 3" and "Mario World"

Nintendo was shy about selling its characters for whatever price they wanted.

        They made cartoons about:

        Kirby
        Pokemon
        Super Mario World
        Super Mario Bros. Super Show
        Mario Bros. 3
        Zelda
        Captain N
        Donkey Kong

Nintendo had most of these during the NES era though.

          yep

I don't know if Nintendo still owns the rights to captain N though I hear there's a big mix up as far as releasing that cartoon goes (probably because many other characters are in the show and lisenced from other company's like Capcom and Konami)

you forgot F-Zero which is also out now

Pokemon, Kirby and F-Zero are all still being made I believe and are all not from the NES era (though pokemon is pretty old now didn't it start in like 1998-99?) all three of these were made in Japan and are as such anime (while all the others I believe were made for/in America)

I think they also had a fairly recent Donky Kong Country but I think that was american and that show stunk

from what I've heard Nintendo is looking to open their own animation studio so from now on they'll handle characters in house rather then signing them out as they've done in the past

yeah I've heard alot of people liked Captain N

I only got to see a few episodes of it but it seemed pretty cool (of course it got Megaman totaly wrong but Megaman's own chartoon got his character wrong for the most part >_> *yeah I'm a huge Megaman fan, I'll buy almost anything Megaman unless it's spit in your face quality like MMX6*)
