Why does this thread shrink and grow?

When I come here sometimes only one page of threads shows, with about 9 threads max and no links to any following pages. And at other times, like today the thread is many pages long. I don't get it. I know people don't come here very often anymore, but why the shrinking and growing? No other thread seems to do this.

This is weird. When I started this post, the thread was so long the page links at the bottom showed NEXT after the 15th page. When I saved the post, the entire thread was down to 10 pages. What in the world?

It would depend on how active the section is. I have mine set to view posts from the past 75 days. If you expand the amount of days you want to view posts for, it will show more threads.

Anything beyond 75 days won't show for me.

All my sections are set to 75 days and I never change them. This morning all the threads showed and there over 15 pages. Now again it's only showing 10 pages and that's it. No matter what I change the settings too, it just stays 10. Then again it will go back to what it should be.

For the last few weeks it has only been showing one page of 9 threads. Today it is 10 full pages of threads. WHY?

Because a new thread was created yesterday.

But that doens't make any sense. When I came to look over the last few days, this thread was showing only one page of 9 threads. Then this morning, there was no new thread, but it was ten pages long. Then after I made the post and went back, it was one page again. It just doesn't make sense. I don't see any other thread doing this, just this one.
