  • Online gaming and prices?

    Hey everyone!

I have a question about online games.

Does anyone know how much World of Warcraft, Dark Ages of Camelot and Everquest cost per month to play?

    Thanks!

World of Warcraft is currently $15 per month. However you can subscribe in 3month, 6month, and 1yr blocks to receive discounts. (about 1.50 less per each block). Not quite sure of Everquests or Dark Ages pricing but I am sure that they are pretty similar.

If you like those types of games, you should check out Guild Wars.

My husband plays that all the time!!!! And it's free to play the multiplayer online. You just have to buy the disks.

Ahhh.. thanks for the info guys! If any know the prices of the other two, let me know!

My Husband and I used to play Dark Ages of Camelot when we were in college... good times.

We're currently building a mega computer and he was getting so frusterated when he couldn't find the pirces on the game's websites.

Camelot is still 15 bucks a month, which is too much considering the huge drop in population. I still think it's the best game ever made but spending 1 hour looking for a group is not fun. I'll be playing WoW until they make something like DAOC again.

^^ Camelot was the only online game that I ever played.. Level 50 Warden right here! Whoot, whoot! I think... unless they swiped me. We haven't played since 2004...

                Re: Online gaming and prices?

I recomend Final Fantasy XI. When I used to play it was like $10 a month and a dollar a month for any extra characters. World of Warcraft looks neat, and I loved Warcraft 3 and its expansion, but I still think Final Fantasy XI is better.

Of course there is always Lineage II. I don't know the cost, but I do know of several ways to just play for free on several servers.

Check out Warhammer Online. It's being made by the same company, Mythic, and is promising pretty much to re-create or improve DAOC RVR combat.

^^ I didn't like Realm vs. realm! All of the biggies would run by and pelt to me to death.. of course, that was when I wasn't high leveled. People just ruined that for me. :/

I'm still having fun in Lord of the Rings Online. If you'd like to check it out, let me know because they send us "friend keys" for the games (i.e. 10 day trials, or cheaper per month costs for your friends) all the time.
