I found out yesterday that they were also offering this in store. But by the time I got to my local store only the boring games were left. They did have a lot of Super Mario Galaxy but nothing else I wanted.
The lady working at my TRU told my mom and I we could get "stand in" games and come back within 30 (?) days and exchange them for games we want (as long as they were sealed).
Also, DS is REALLY starting to pick up in the RPG department but the only major Wii RPG I can think of is Fire Emblem:Radiant Dawn and Super Paper Mario.

Fire Emblem is a strategy game I thought. Super Paper Mario was more puzzle/platformer than RPG but..... really, I'd like a "straight" rpg on there

I think I'll wait on Super Smash Bros till I read a review of the final product though -- I seem to recall that early demos of the game garnered a negative reaction. I'm sure a lot of it has been retooled since then, but still.... I have video games coming out my hoo-haw so I can wait on that one
Wii, where are your role-playing games? Dear lord.... just one good one is all I ask for. (Then again, I can ask the same question to my Ps3).
Negative reaction? The earliest demo was this September and all the feedback has been very positive. If you haven't already been visiting, www.smashbros.com has updates every day, the game is a total fan service. As for me, I didn't do this deal because I already have all the games I want.
^^ yay a Wii RPG by the people who did Eternal Sonata. Who knows when it is coming out, but it's somewhere in the future :P

I coulda sworn that people were not happy with an early build of this game, mostly citing the control scheme (actually now that I'm doing a search, more recent previews of the game say that it is fun, with some of them mentioning semi-unhappiness with the control scheme). It seems that whatever issues they were having, they were solved in later builds.

Thats lame that they cancelled your Mario order. And about the Smash controls, you can use the Gamecube controller, Classic Controller, Wiimote, or Wiimote and Nunchuck.

Yeah, the controls were funky. They were fixed VERY fast.
