Anyone have any suggestions on how to get one at retail somewhere here in So Cal? Seems to be out of stock in all of Orange County!

Re: In search of a Wii....
Just keep checking the ad's. If the ad's show they have them, they will have ... well, some.
You need to make sure you show up at the stores that have them ... EARLY. I'd avoid your best buys, wal-mart's, etc. The best bet's last Christmas were Targets. Generally they had at least 20 everytime it was in the ad.
Good luck.

Re: In search of a Wii....
Have been informed to hit Gamestop at 7AM on Friday or ToysRUs at opening on Sunday. Geez, just didn't realize how hard it was going to be!
Neighbor even works for a game store....he'll call when they come in, but still have to be first in line!
Now I know how it feels to be looking for a "Tickle me Elmo" during the Christmas season, and I said...."I'll never do THAT!"Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,it's what they are like in their HEART!

Re: In search of a Wii....
Yeah, I'm looking too. I went to a Games for Less and they were selling them for $100 over the regular price, but "throwing in" a game. So I'm still looking as well. I really don't want to go out there this weekend, but I may have to spend the night at Ye Olde Target or something.A signature should go here.

Re: In search of a Wii....
Good luck Wolffy! Hope you find one. They are pretty scarce up here too according to a friend of mine who works at a Best Buy nearby my workplace. They can't keep them in stock.1st Amendment-Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The forums at Cheap *** Gamer are a good place to scan. They usually post sunday ads a week or so in advance, so you can plan where to be.Follow me on Twitter: @matthamand

I was lucky last year..My wife worked at Target and she was able to give me the scoop on how many her store was going to have on launch day and a few weeks later when we bought one for our friend as a bday/xmas gift.
Like Clinks says, just get there early.Out of the NIGHT....

Re: In search of a Wii....
Kmart had only 2 this morning, so that didn't work. Do have a friend who works for Target and have let him know....we'll see what happens with that.Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,it's what they are like in their HEART!

Re: In search of a Wii....
I bought mine at a GameStop in the middle of the week I think. We walked in and I asked if they had any Wii's in stock. They told me they had one left. I left it there for about half an hour while my father searched around for a better deal (like he'd find one on it...). We came back and bought it.
I was playing Super Mario Galaxy earlier. <.<

Finally got it! And all the goodies to go with, so that Christmas morning we all can play!
Sent hubby at 5AM to EB Games so he would be there at the opening of 7AM!
