I have been reading about this game on the internet, and trying to decide whether to buy it or not. I understand that it comes out today, and I could walk down to the game store later, or stop in at Target to see if they
have it.
I completed Kingdom Hearts many times. 4 to be exact, changing weapons in the beginning each time, and achieving the ultimate weapon each time. I douldn't understand Chain of Memories, and really was not impressed by Kingdom Hearts 2, so I am hesitant to buy this game.
However, I love playing on the DS, and the price really isn't too much. Not the steep $50 price of a PS game.
So, I'll let you know whether I take the walk later on this afternoon to give the game a try.
^how could you not like Kingdom Hearts 2, that has to be one of the most balanced games ever and it had such a great story and really worked off the first game.
Anyway I will tell eveyone what I think once I get my hands on a copy today!!!
I guess my age (62) might have something to do with the difficulty that I have in playing these games. It took me a long time just to learn how to use the Controller. You young people grew up with these games, and you have a built in sense about how to use them.
I finally mastered the controls of the first Kingdom Hearts game after many mishaps. With the help of my grandson, I learned just enough to finally get good at battling. I then did a lot of leveling up, and finished the game. After that, I played it over and over.
There was a lot of time between the first Kingdom Hearts game, and the time that the 2nd one came out. Now keep in mind that I don't play any other Playstation games, so by the time Kingdom Hearts 2 game out, I was pretty rusty. I started the game with a lot of desire, and hope that I would enjoy it as much as the first one. I guess, I didn't persevere enough, and my grandson wasn't over as much to help me, so I put it aside, and never finished. I only got as far as Tron.
May I ask a question of those of you who have the game. Is there a guidebook for this new Kingdom Hearts game on DS? I am usually lost without one, and definitely need one, if there is one.
For those of you already playing the game. I wish you hours of fun. I had hundreds of hours of fun with the first one.
Got the game when it came out. And I'm already impressed with the game! I think i'm halfway or at least getting out of the beginning. I'm on day 70 something. Can't wait to play more over the weekend.
Oh and because I pre-ordered it from GameStop, I got some free stuff with it that was made the pre-order worth it.

Today I bought the game and the guidebook at my local Game Stop store. I read the beginning sections of the guidebook, and the small booklet that came with the game before I even put the game in my DS.
I have not played up to Day 12. I have now decided to turn the game off, and do some more reading in the book. I need to get the basics down of just what controls what. I need to read about panels.
When I played Kingdom Hearts, at first I hated fighting the heartless. I wanted to see the Disney Scenes. However, as I began playing the game more and more, fighting the heartless became a lot of fun. As I learned how to control the controller, equip abilities, and arm myself with items, I became more and more successful.
I don't know how far I will get, but so far, so good. I am playing the game as a beginner, because I am definitely that.
I which I could get this game I have the other 3 I finish both KH1 & KH2 but can't pass the Alice world for KH COM on PS2. The cards on this verison is hard for me to do. The reason I can't get 358/2DAYS is because I don't have a DS only a PS2.
I really like this game. It's a lot of fun and I've never seen the DS be able to do such good graphics. What thing that I don't like though is how they kind of kept the card system from KH CoM in that you have to equip stuff. Especially equipping level ups. WHY?!
^yeah its just ot mix it up and make it feel different.
The only thing I CANT stand is you can only have one ring on at a time, you have 7 other fingers.
