There is a lot on ABC Family that I don't know what has to do with Christmas, yet they have it on their 25 Days of Christmas schedule.

        Cars (as you mentioned)
        Harry Potter
        Narnia
        Mary Poppins
Cat in the Hat / Lorax
        The Incredibles

        Oh... great list! Thanks Gregg!

Wow. Looking at that list I'm realizing just how many of the classics I own already. It looks like the only ones I need to worry about catching on TV this year are the ones that are new this year.

Also, in addition to your list, Hallmark shows a lot of cheesy, made-for-tv holiday films too. Every once in a while you can catch a gem among the cheese.

Yeah, we own a lot of them too. But sometimes it's just easier to watch them on TV rather than putting a DVD in.

about the "A Christmas Story 24-hour marathon"...

is it really a 24-hour marathon if it goes from 8pm-6pm?

Re: Holiday Movie and Special Guide

The last one starts at 6pm, ends at 8pm. So yes, it is 24 hours.

Re: Holiday Movie and Special Guide

For Canadians interested, Disney's "One Magic Christmas" (1985) and the Wonderful World of Disney TV movie "A Mom for Christmas" will NOT be shown on Family this year, which very much upsets me. "Mom" is now a Disney Movie Club disc but that doesn't really mean anything too me.

Also I even checked TCM and nobody is showing the Laurel and Hardy version of Babes in Toyland (1934) (aka March of the Wooden Toy Soldiers). [The colourized version is on youtube though]

But don't forget about TCM's Disney live action movie marathons which are now being advertised on their websites main page.
I like The Happiest Millionaire. What's wrong with that?

All AMC seems to be showing is Prancer and the George C Scott version of A Christmas Carol.

That should be embroided and hung on a wall - then sold at a yard sale!
