Is there already a thread for this that I'm just not seeing?

    Is anyone watching this season?

I think Althea is going to be the winner. Her designs are always good.

    Re: Project Runway

Since I don't watch TV, I have to rely on my coworker to bring in DVRs of Project Runway.
I watch it on my lunch break religiously.

You think Althea has got it? I'm rooting for anyone but, Nickolas. (<sp?)

I love, love, love Christopher, but he needs to escape from the 'bubble'. Uck.

I also think Irina is a good designer, but she talks too much sh*t, IMO.

I was bummed to see Epperson go. He seems like he might be annoying in person, but his designs were beautiful and well made...except for that last one. But still, he did better than Logan.

I gotta agree, with as consistent as the quality of Epperson's designs had been and at least having won a challenge, between the two of them I would have made logan go. I mean, compared to some of the other designs they let some of the contests get away with, it seemed a bit weird.

Also, I'm not big on the fact they chose to use FIDM as their school of choice for this season. I get the big change to LA, but honestly would have rather had them stick with parsons. but this is due to my personal (though not that uncommon) distate for FIDM anyway.

I think it is hard to say who is going to win, but Irina seems to be the most consistant in challenges. I personally like Althea.

She is a complete bitch! I really did not like the newspaper trench coat and could not believe that it won. In any of the other competitions those crunched paper, faux-fur elements would have been called out for being a substance-less element added to pad the lack of complete design on the garment.

            Spoiler

No worries: Nicolas got Auf'ed last night. It was an interesting outfit, but GREECE? Grey suit slacks and a wraparound mummy top - with bell sleeves? No color whatsoever in his last few designs... and this was NOT the one to go with the drab palette...

Still, I can't believe that Christopher - who showed SO much promise in the first few competitions - (a) has been in the bottom 2 for the past month, (b) has slipped into 'Cliche Land', and (c) is still here. He is a cutie, but come on... That Santa Fe dress that he designed was a dog; it defined schmatta.
"I've got the heart of a child..." - I keep it in a box, next to my bed...

              Re: Project Runway

With that being his third time in the bottom two, I found it astounding they kept Christopher on. That should have been a hint to the judges that maybe it was time for him to go and work more on developing his design skills elsewhere.

I thought Epperson was really good too. It's too bad he blew it on that one challenge.

I think Logan's still here not because of his designs, but because of some kind of charisma that he seems to have on people. And Christopher is just darn lucky that Nikolas so completely goofed on the Greece look or he'd be gone now.

I think in the end, it's gonna be Althea, Irina and Carol Hanna (sp?) because the three of them are consistently good.

Who do you think the model will be? I think Tunishia or Irina's model (can't think of her name right now)

I keep waiting for them to kick Chris off, but I think with this last challenge Nikolas just so totally blew it that it had to be him. That is the one downfall to this style of competition, it really only looks at the results of the current competition and not the past.

I think that ugly hat he wears is lucky.

I have to agree with you about Chris. Don't know why they keep letting him slide (is it three times in the bottom two now?), but it's about time he gets the boot.

I loved that trench coat! It was so well made and looked amazing!

I have disagreed with the judges the last 2 weeks about who should go home. I was rooting for Christopher, because he is from close to where I live, but I think he needs the axe!

Irina is a bitch, but she is an amazing designer! Her clothes look like something straight out of a store, ready to go every week. I like her stuff, but not her. I also like Althea and that other little blonde. And the middle aged lady with the accent has done some good stuff. Can you tell I am not good with names?

I think the trench coat sort of avoided the highest level of challenge presented. Newsprint is both delicate and yet still rather hard. What makes a newsprint dress so compelling is that newsprint is being used to create something smooth and flowing out of a material that is harsh. A trench coat, in my opinion, was playing it safe as it did not have to enter into that real of softness that is covered by an item such as a dress.

Yeah, but the challenge wasn't to create something "soft" it was to create something fashionable. The trenchcoat looked like a real coat and she even created the two textures, the firm coat "fabric" and then the fluffy "fur" for the trim. Plus, the belt and everything. It was amazing. I think it deserved to win. I can't remember the other garments as well, but I remember being really impressed with several others. But the coat was the best IMO.
