  • James May's Toy Stories on BBCA

Anyone seen this? It premiered last week on BBC America. It's hosted by James May, one of the co-presenters of Top Gear.

Basically the show is James taking different toys and bringing them big scale. Last week he and his crew made a house out of Legos (which he lived in for 24 hours). This week he's building a 3 mile long slotcar racetrack.

Pretty interesting stuff and fun to watch.

I love the concept. I will have to watch for this show.

It's on Monday nights at 10pm Eastern (after Top Gear).

The slot car race was so cool! Where this old track used to be has like a pond and some office buildings now, but they worked around those and even incorporated them into the track layout. It was really quite awesome.

Ok this week's episode was pretty neat. James had his volunteers make a garden out of Plastecine, which is something kind of like Play-Doh as it comes in many colors but more like modeling clay.

Plasticine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

They entered the garden in the Royal Horticulture Society's annual garden show in Chelsea, where it got a special medal.... made of Plasticine... and won the People's Choice award. Very cool!

I saw most of the Lego house episode and all of the Plasticine garden episode (and was thrilled to see all of the British actors who saw the garden). Fun stuff. I enjoy his dry sense of humor.
